Donna Rica

DONNA RICA, a beauty by ROYAL DORUTO out of DONNA SOFIA by SUNNY BOY, we acquired as a foal in 2012. Volkhard Folkers from Wangerland drew our attention to the striking dark bay. Quotation Folkers: "Mrs. Jennissen, when you see this foal, it trots over your bedding! At the farm of the breeder Hermann Lange we immediately agreed: this foal had to be the one! 

We rode Rica in 2015. She presented herself from day one with a great attitude to work and with very good basic gaits. She also passed her mare performance test in 2015 in Vechta and received the Verband premium. Rica was presented once at a show in 2015 and placed second in the riding horse test.

In 2016, she gave birth to her first foal by BUCKINGHAM (Bordeaux x Rousseau). An eye-catcher with melting. He was sold to Baden-Württemberg as a stallion prospect. In 2018, she had a gorgeous dark bay filly by FOR ROMANCE at foot. Donna Felicia was classified as an elite foal at the burning date in Lodbergen and admitted to the elite auction. "Frieda" remains at the Behenshof as offspring.

The two fillies Sunny by SIR HEINRICH and Donna Doria by DAMASCHINO were also very popular. Donna Doria was sold to Switzerland as a foal. For 2022, we repeated the mating of Rica with FOR ROMANCE and got an exceptional foal in Donna Fortuna, who was also classified as an elite foal and was sold by us as a foal. In 2023, Rica gave us a wonderful stallion prospect by BENICIO, who was sold to the stallion owner Beckmann.

Rica was awarded Oldenburg Elite Mare status in 2022 due to her exceptionally good offspring. Unfortunately, we lost her at the beginning of 2024 due to a bad colic. We are deeply saddened by the loss of this wonderful, friendly mare.
